Old carpet has a way of making a room feel stuck in time. It holds odors, shows wear in the high-traffic spots, and no matter how much you clean it, it never quite looks fresh. This homeowner was ready to move on from it - and honestly, we get it.

We started by tearing out the old carpet, padding, and tack strips. All of it. That part matters more than people realize. Skipping proper demo and laying new flooring over old padding is a shortcut that causes problems down the road - uneven surfaces, squeaks, and flooring that doesn't sit right. We don't cut those corners.

Once the subfloor was clean and prepped, we installed the new LVP. The dark wood-tone planks ended up being a great choice for this space. The color works with the light blue walls and gives each room a grounded, pulled-together feel. We also finished the edges with quarter round and fresh paint to make sure everything looked clean from floor to wall.

The difference between a room with worn carpet and one with fresh LVP is hard to overstate. It's not just visual - the space feels more solid, easier to maintain, and honestly just more livable. LVP holds up well to everyday use, it cleans up fast, and it doesn't trap allergens the way carpet does.

This is the kind of work we do regularly - full carpet removal with a clean LVP installation from start to finish. No patchwork, no shortcuts. Just solid flooring work done right.
